Police are still looking for two suspects after a Dothan convenience store clerk was killed during an attempted robbery.
Investigators believe the man refused to hand over money, so the suspects apparently gunned him down in cold blood.
Police say two men tried to rob the Southeast Mini-Mart, on the corner of Cottonwood Road and Third Avenue around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday night.
Fifty-four-year-old Prakash Shah was shot once in the abdomen and the suspects fled empty-handed, but before he died, the victim was able to possibly help police identify his killers.
Another employee who was working in a backroom heard the shot and he caught a glimpse of one of the suspects as the man fled the building.
The convenience store owners are offering a $5,000 reward for information that puts the suspects behind bars. District Attorney Doug Valeska has authorized another $5,000 reward through Crimestoppers.
