This Spring Break the state of Florida cracked down on underage drinking.
There were more than 5200 arrests for drinking violations at six Florida spring break “hot spots” and over half of them were in Panama City. That’s up 57-percent from last year.
More than 100 agents from the Division of Alcoholic Beverages worked in cooperation with local law enforcement during the crackdown period between March 8 and April 11.
They were on the look out for underage drinkers and those selling alcohol to minors. Plus, they confiscated more than 1,000 fake IDs.
