Authorities are still investigating what caused a motor home to catch fire in Dothan Thursday. What made it really scary was that it caught fire next to some gas pumps.
It happened around 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning at the Hop-In Station in the 1800 block of the Ross Clark Circle.
Witnesses said the motor home was smoking when it drove up and then erupted in flames.
Several units from the Dothan Fire Department responded and had the fire under control within minutes. No one was injured.
Fire marshals say the blaze apparently started in the engine compartment of the motor home but the exact cause remains under investigation.
