Ozark school administrators say they can't make any plans for recently donated land until residents vote on a property tax referendum in may.
Ozark Housing Development Incorporated recently announced they were giving 123 acres to the Ozark city schools.
The money from the 8 mil property tax would be earmarked for capital improvements in the existing schools.
Officials say the money will repair current facilities and possibly go towards new ones on the new land.
But if the tax referendum fails, officials may have to close three schools.
Ozark Supt. Day Payant says the land changes the school board's focus.
