Alabama’s revenue commissioner has announced that there's an error on the state's short income tax Form 40A which was mailed to Alabama taxpayers and distributed at public sites statewide.
He said a corrected income tax form is available on the department's web site.
Taxpayers rushing to meet Thursday’s tax deadline should download a corrected form.
Taxpayers who filed electronically or who plan to file electronically is not affected by the error.
