Police say a relative of the boy, 32-year-old Guy Smith, gave the child several drinks of a wine so he'd calm down.
The toddler's mother says she returned home and noticed the boy looked sick, so she took him to the hospital.
Doctors discovered the two-year-old had a blood alcohol level of .124.
Smith is facing child abuse charges.
