A suspected car thief from Florida has been jailed in Dothan.

Satellite technology helped put him behinds bars.

A Chevy Tahoe was taken for a test drive from a Fort Myers car lot Saturday and never returned.

When the owners realized the vehicle was still missing Monday morning, they used the SUV's onboard computer and navigation system to track it down via satellite.

Within minutes they determined the Tahoe was not only in Dothan, but northbound on the Montgomery Highway.

Thirty-nine-year-old Warren McLelland has been charged with bringing stolen property into Alabama. Charges in Florida are pending.
