The case of an accused killer from Dothan has been bound over to a Henry County Grand Jury.
A preliminary hearing was held for 28-year-old James Stuckey Wednesday afternoon in Abbeville. He’s charged in the shooting death of 23-year-old Charles Hatfield.
Hunters found the victim's body off a Henry County dirt road last month.
Investigators testified that Stuckey was the last person seen with Hatfield.
Prosecutors contend revenge was the motive for the killing because Stuckey thought Hatfield set him up to be robbed during a drug deal.
Defense Attorney Scott Hedeen asked Judge Charles Woodham to reduce Stuckey's $500,000 bond. A ruling on that motion is expected in a few days.
Stuckey is still being held in the Henry County Jail.
