Covington County Sheriff Anthony Clark has terminated a prison chaplain.
Andalusia minister James Elmore has conducted services inside the Covington County Jail for more than 20 years. But last week, he told News 4 that he, along with several other clergymen, were upset with a new rule.
Their services were cut to one hour, and a maximum of 25 inmates at any one time would be allowed inside the jail chapel.
Elmore received a termination letter from Sheriff Clark last night.
Elmore says he believes his televised complaint led to his termination. News 4 was not able to reach the sheriff for comment.
