Chapelwood No Flood Zone

If you live in Chapelwood and you've been paying for flood insurance, you may be able to get some or all of that money back.

City leaders say the Federal Emergency Management Agency or FEMA recently contacted them to let them know the neighborhood no longer falls in a flood zone because of drainage improvements.

That’s good news for those paying for flood protection.

The city is sending letters to let Chapelwood residents know how to go about trying to reclaim their money, you can also contact Randy Morris in Dothan’s Public Works Division at 615-4422.
