Dothan Revenue

There's good news for the City of Dothan. The city's financial report for fiscal year 2003 is out, and it shows the city in the black.

The city generated a profit of nearly $169,000 for the fiscal year, both sales tax and utilities revenues grew.

Expenditures also grew and auditors say the city needs to be very cautious with spending. They also say the city needs to look at options to increase revenues.

The city ended the fiscal year with a fund balance of $22.5 million.
