A Dothan man charged with capital murder goes on trial next week.
Twenty-two-year-old Brandon Benjamin is accused in the shooting death and robbery of 52-year-old Jimmy Floyd Lewis.
The Ozark man was gunned down in the parking lot of Wiregrass Commons Mall in November 2000.
Benjamin was arrested three weeks later after a search of his mobile home turned up the victim's wallet, credit cards and a possible murder weapon.
Investigators say Benjamin became a suspect after he allegedly bragged about the crime.
Jury selection in the case begins this morning at the Houston County Courthouse.
