Brannon Stand Road is being resurfaced from the Dale County Line South to Highway 84.
Work begins next Tuesday to re-surface another section from Malvern Road in Rehobeth North to Highway 52.
The 7.5-mile project will cost more than $1.1 million and take about two months to complete. Eighty percent of the cost is being covered by the state.
Houston County Engineer Mark Pool said motorists can expect delays of up to half an hour while work is being done. He recommends that motorists avoid traveling through construction areas until the job is finished.
