Houston County authorities are on the lookout for a California fugitive, and you could help put him behind bars.
Thirty-nine-year-old Charles Hammitt is wanted for theft and embezzlement. He was booked into the Houston County Jail for receiving stolen property in December, but that charge was later dismissed and he was released before investigators found out he's wanted in California.
Hammitt is believed to still be in the Dothan area. Anyone with information about him should contact the Houston County Sheriff's Department at 334-677-4808.
