The body of a missing Wiregrass man has been found in Elba. Late yesterday afternoon, the body of Jeff Johnson was discovered across the street from his father's home on Taylor Mill Road.
The 39-year-old man was last seen Friday afternoon after he returned home from a construction job in Mobile. His family reported him missing to Elba Police on Tuesday.
At this time, authorities have not released the cause of death. Johnson’s father tells News 4 that everybody loved Jeff and he can't understand what caused his son's death.
Mr. Johnson's body is being sent to the state department of forensics in Mobile to determine the cause of death. They hope to have autopsy results by Friday.
