President Bush is demanding that John Kerry back up his claim of support from foreign leaders.
During a meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende, Bush declared, "If you're going to make an accusation in the course of a presidential campaign, you ought to back it up with facts."
Kerry said last week that world leaders he's spoken to have expressed support to him in private.
The Bush campaign challenged the expected Democratic nominee to name names and said if he doesn't, it's clear he was making it up.
But Kerry says he stands by his assertion and accuses Republicans of trying to change the subject from jobs and other issues.
