UNDATED, Ala. (AP) - Motorists are feeling the pain at the pump. Gas prices are about 20 cents higher than they were two weeks ago. The national average is two dollars, 55 cents per gallon, but drivers in San Francisco are paying three dollars and ten cents.
According to Monday fuel gauge report from AAA Alabama - the state average for regular is 2.42 a gallon. Midgrade fuel is 2.59 and premium is, on average, 2.66 a gallon.
Gas prices in Alabama have climbed about 33 cents in the past month.
Analyst Trilby Lundberg says concerns over falling gasoline inventories from decreased refinery production and fewer imports
have boosted oil and gasoline prices lately.
