Updated: Mon 11:55 AM, Jul 22, 2002

If you live in the area of Tri-State Plant Food, don't be alarmed if you see emergency personnel there this week.

The Dothan Fire Department is hosting "Ammonia Safety and Emergency Response Training" this week.

Tri State was the site of an ammonia leak in April 2000 that forced the evacuation of area residents.

A nationally recognized training group from Houston, Texas will conduct the six-day training session.

This training is funded through grant money and Tri-State Plant Food is allowing the fire department to use their facility for the hands-on part of the training.
