Another candidate has thrown his hat into the ring for Houston County’s top education job.
Larry Fowler says he's running for superintendent of Houston County schools.
Fowler has worked in the local school system for more than three-decades. He’s been everything from a teacher to assistant principal. Currently, Fowler is the school district's curriculum co-coordinator.
He says 20 years of helping draw up the system's budget is just one of the things that makes him the right person for the job.
Several other candidates have already announced they're running for the position.
Current Superintendent Kenneth Lord is vacating after three terms.
