Fort Campbell Soldiers Helping Clean-up

12 soldiers from Fort Campbell, Kentucky are in Enterprise to help with the clean-up efforts.

Soldiers from the 101st Airborn division cranked up their chain saws Wednesday to help residents clean up the tree limbs scattered across yards in Enterprise.

On leave from Fort Campbell, the service men are swinging axes and helping the city of progress get back to normal.

Captain Mike Young is supervising 11 other soldiers in the clean up effort.

The son of a retired Fort Rucker pilot, Captain Young graduated from Enterprise High School in 1988.

“I’m okay with it because there are so many volunteers and it's amazing how much damage there was and how fast it's been cleaning up and I’m sure with the booster and other help it'll be back to normal in a short period of time,” says Young

The soldiers drive their own vehicles from Kentucky to Enterprise Tuesday night.

They'll be helping residents in Enterprise until they leave on Friday.
