Ft. Rucker Remembrance Ceremony

"We've lost fun and laughter, but we've gained strength from our community."

That's what commanding General Virgil Packett said Wednesday morning at a remembrance ceremony for the nice people killed in last Thursday’s tornado.

General Packett hugged Andrew Jackson's father, Tim Jackson before the service.

Andrew was buried beneath the rubble at the high school.

Michael Bowen's parent's also attended the ceremony.

A flight school student played the guitar and sang, "I can only imagine".

General Packett said this has been a tough week, but as he put it "we'll get through it because our community has remarkable strength like no other."
