The woman behind the rapid success of a local agency dedicated to teen girls enrichment will be leaving soon.
Ann Cotton with Girls Incorporated is changing directions to become the director of the Cultural Arts Center.
Cotton's served as executive director of Girls Inc. for the past 20 years, but says its time to help another organization grow.
Cotton has big plans for the center, which include enhancing current programs and adding more.
She says the best thing about changing positions, she'll still be working with Girl's Inc.
“We don't have a art's director at Girl's Inc., don't have a dance teacher or anything like that. There will be an opportunity that these girl's at our center as well as the boy's and girl's club's they don't have specific people there dedicated to do that and we can work out a way to get their kid's there after school,” says Cotton.
Cotton's last day is March 19th.
