ENTERPRISE, Ala. (AP) - Hundreds of mourners turned out Monday to remember three of the students killed by a tornado at Enterprise High School last week.
Funerals were held Monday for Michael Bowen, Katie Strunk and Michelle Wilson, all 16.
Mourners at Bowen's funeral remembered his million-dollar smile, which he was quick to flash to strangers and friends alike.
Strunk's youth minister Brendan Chance described her as fun-loving, caring and sincerely kind.
Pastor G. Lance Hogan said teachers told him that Wilson brought a smile to their faces and that joy just radiated from her.
Thusday, a funeral is scheduled for 17-year-old Michael D. "Mikey" Tompkins. Another joint funeral is planned tomorrow for two best friends who died together in the hallway, 16-year-old Andrew Joel "A.J." Jackson and 17-year-old Ryan Andrew Mohler.
A funeral for 17-year-old Jamie Ann Vidensek is set for Wednesday. Details for a funeral for the eighth student killed, Peter James Dunn the second, were not immediately available.
Along with the eight students killed at the high school, 83-year-old Edna Hayes Strickland died at her Enterprise home from injuries when the tornado hit her house. Funeral services were held for her Sunday.
