Grant Money

More than 100 employees at three Alabama tire plants will undergo extensive training to improve their skills. It’s part of a U.S. Department of Labor Grant.

The Dothan Michelin Plant will receive a third of the $150,000 grant. It will be used for training designed to help the company keep up with increasing industry demands.

Employees will receive instruction on operating and maintaining computer and digital equipment that's necessary for tire production.
