Road Resurfacing

A major street re-surfacing project could soon be launched in small towns across Houston County.

"Project Fairway" is a joint effort of the Houston County Commission and officials in seven communities. The work will cost a little more than $280,000.

An increase in sales tax revenue will help pay for the project. The county and cities will split the cost 50-50.

County commissioners will vote on the project Monday. If approved, work could begin during the week and be completed by the end of Summer.
