The man accused of murdering a Florida girl is no longer a suspect in the murder of a young Alabama girl.
11-year old Shannon Paulk was kidnapped and murdered back in 2001 in a similar fashion as 11-year old Carlie Brucia, who's kidnapping was caught on a car wash's surveillance camera.
37-year old Joseph Smith was arrested for Carlie's murder and became a suspect in Shannon’s death, after Alabama authorities re-released a police mug shot that was similar to Joseph Smith's profile.
They’ve now decided there was no evidence that Smith was in Prattville when Shannon Paulk disappeared.
