A Panama City man is getting 390 years in prison for possessing child pornography.
George Thrasher was convicted last week on 78 counts. Circuit Judge Michael Overstreet says he's assessing the long prison term so he had time to think about "those children whose lives are collectively ruined."
Some lawyers believe the 390-year term is the longest in Bay County history. It's the maximum fives year on each of the 78 counts.
Prosecutor Mark Graham points out Thrasher had been convicted of 20 previous felonies since 1978. He says if Thrasher was released from jail today, "he would be preying on children by the weekend."
