Geneva County H2O

A federally funded $5 million water project will be completed in just a few months.

Big, blue plastic pipe has appeared along roadways across Geneva County over the last couple of months. The pipe will connect eight water systems across Geneva County.

It will also provide water to people who previously only had a home well.

Geneva Water Works Manager James Dixon has been with the project since it’s beginning in the late 1990's.

It’ll be a big help, especially when bad weather knocks out the electricity to residential water pumps.

If you are a Geneva County homeowner, you have 90-days for free hook-up into the newly created water system. Contact your closest water utility for more information.
