Burglary Arrests

A home burglary ring in the Wiregrass has finally been disbanded. Authorities say the suspects had allegedly broken into nearly two-dozen homes across several counties. The victims are now in the process of recovering their stolen property.

Donny Langford is one of nearly two-dozen rural homeowners who have been broken into over the last month. Authorities have recovered nine firearms taken from his home, which sits along the Geneva-Houston County-line.

Arrested in the burglaries were 20-year-old Jermaine Jones of Daleville, 18-year-old Michael Prine of Hartford and a 17-year-old minor. Authorities say these arrests led to the recovery of more than $50,000 worth of stolen merchandise. It mostly involved firearms, and electronic equipment:

Geneva County Sheriff Greg Ward says he believes the recovery of the stolen merchandise will continue over the next several weeks across the Wiregrass.
