Draft Beer Sales

Dothan city commissioners may be moving ahead with plans to legalize the sale of draft beer in the Circle City.

But, don't plan on tapping a keg in rural parts of Houston County just yet.

State lawmakers would have to approve a bill allowing draft beer sales in Dothan and Houston County Commission Chairman Mark Culver says there are currently no plans to make that legislation countywide.

While no plans are being made to legalize draft beer sales in un-incorporated areas of Houston County, smaller municipalities have the option of following Dothan’s lead in passing their own draft beer legislation.
