Cummins Signs Layoff

A local sign company has temporarily laid off several employees but plans to rehire many of them back over the next few months.

News 4 has learned that Cummins Signs laid off 40 people Monday as the company consolidates operations.

Plant officials say the move was necessary because several of the company's clients are restructuring their brand image and not placing orders.

The sign company says it will be adding more than one hundred jobs to the Wiregrass due to plant closings in both Texas and Tennessee.
