Hundreds of Chipley residents lined the streets Monday to welcome home more than 120 soldiers from Iraq. The troops spent more than a year overseas in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The troops are part of the 3rd Battalion, 124th Infantry Regiment, and Company C.
The unit is made up of soldiers from Chipley, Bonifay, Panama City and Tallahassee.
After shipping out in January of 2003, the troops landed on U.S. soil about 10 days ago.
And they finally made it back to their hometown and their families on Monday.
