ENTERPRISE, Ala. (AP) - Gov. Bob Riley is scheduled to arrive by helicopter at Enterprise High School Friday morning (10 a.m.) to inspect Thursday's deadly tornado damage.
Eight teenagers at the school died when the tornado struck the school, Enterprise Mayor Kenneth Boswell says.
State Superintendent of Education Dr. Joe Morton, Alabama Emergency Management Agency Director Bruce Baughman, and Alabama Department of Public Safety Director Colonel Chris Murphy are expected to accompany Riley.
Meanwhile, Alabama's congressional delegation has asked President Bush for a disaster declaration for the tornado-damaged areas, pointing to the destruction in Coffee and Wilcox counties.
