Police are still investigating a high-speed chase. An intoxicated driver who refused to pull over caused it.
Authorities say the driver of this white Ford Ranger pick-up truck led police on a chase along County Road 203 Sunday afternoon.
Law enforcement says the driver was apparently intoxicated behind the wheel when he drove into a resident's fence. Police then say he backed out of the property and resumed driving on County Road 203 until a Houston County sheriff's deputy pulled him over. The driver then tried to run away on foot when he was finally arrested.
Several law enforcement agencies including the Alabama State Troopers, Taylor Police and Houston County Sheriff’s Departments were involved in the chase.
Neither the driver nor residents at the home were injured.
