Houston County commissioners are expected to decide today if residents will vote on a proposed property or sales tax hike to help fund senior services.
The regional council on aging says the revenue is needed to provide more and better services for the elderly.
The county is considering either a three-mil property tax increase or a one-quarter cent sales tax.
Both Dale and Coffee County commissioners are also scheduled to take up the issue at their meetings today.
