The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration performed actual road tests on 14 vehicles. The following four-wheel drive SUVs’ got four stars: Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Oldsmobile Bravada, Volvo SC-90 and Buick Ranier. That means they are only 10 to 20 percent likely to roll over in a sharp turn.
Three stars went to Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Jeep Liberty, Oldsmobile Bravada, and Toyota 4-Runner.
The Ford Explorer Sport Trac got the worst rating among 14 tested.
