A trial date has been set for a former teacher charged with sex crimes against students.
55-year-old Kenneth Shoemake of Enterprise faces five counts of second-degree sexual abuse. He’s accused of inappropriately touching female students at Daleville Middle School.
Shoemake was arrested in November following a six-week investigation. He was later suspended and the state Board of Education will determine if his teaching certificate will be renewed.
Shoemake is scheduled to stand trial on the misdemeanor charges March 11th in Dale County District Court.
