MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) Gov. Bob Riley announced a $5,000 state reward Friday for an arrest and conviction of the person who sexually assaulted two Jackson County women.

The two separate attacks occurred in February 2004 and January 2007.

Authorities suspect the same attacker in both incidents. The women were attacked in their homes.

The attacker has a speech impediment and wielded a pistol and knife.

Anyone with any information about these crimes can contact Jackson County sheriff's investigator Bart Buchanan.
