Eufaula Drowning

A tragic fishing accident claims the life of an Ozark man this past weekend.

The accident happened Friday night on Lake Eufaula.

Fiftytwo-year-old Amminabah Thomas of Ozark apparently drowned when the boat he was in capsized.

Thomas was fishing with two other men, Josephus Summers and Winston Trotter of Daleville, when a storm caught their boat just before dark.

Two fishermen found Summers and Winston holding on to Thomas and the bow of the capsized boat early Saturday morning.

Thomas was pronounced dead early Saturday morning.
