City Road Closed

Starting Monday, motorists who use John D. Odom Road in Dothan will have to find another way to get where they are going.

The City of Dothan is replacing the bridge over little Choctahatchee River and the bridge will close to traffic.

Work on the bridge is expected to last several months and should be reopened in August.

City officials say the 22-foot bridge will be replaced with one that's 34 feet wide.

Around 7,000 cars and trucks travel the John D. Odom Road every day and city officials say detour signs will be in place letting motorists how to get around the construction.
