The person filling in as Dothan’s city manager says he's not interested in having the position permanently.
The Dothan City Commission appointed public works director Jerry Corbin to serve as interim city manager this past December after the departure of Dennis Rubin.
Corbin, a 15-year employee of the city, is also serving as acting head of Dothan utilities with the recent retirement of Jimmy Kilgore.
While the city has decided to expand its search nationally for a qualified candidate, Corbin says he has expressed no interest in the position when asked by commissioners.
City leaders say they would like to have Dothan’s next city manager named sometime next month.
