No big changes are anticipated with the sale of a Texas-based company which owns two area hospitals.
Triad Corporation operates Flowers Hospital in Dothan and Medical Center Enterprise.
In all, Triad operates 52 hospitals in 16 states.
Last week, Triad announced it was selling its hospital portion of the company to two Wall Street investment firms.
Longtime CEO of Medical Center Enterprise, Jeff Brannon, says the patient will not see any difference; quality health care will remain the top-priority.
"Past 6-years since we've been a part of triad, we have been an important part of the community and the hospital has seen improvements,” said Brannon. “We don't think that will change. We believe it'll even be better in the long term."
Medical Center Enterprise is licensed for 131 beds and employs more than 400 area residents.
