The Houston County Sheriff's Department is getting a new look with a fleet of brand-new, heavy-duty cars.
Before former Sheriff Lamar Glover left office, he'd put in a request for the cars.
On Monday, the Houston County Commission approved to purchase seven cars at a total of $150,000.
As of now, the Sheriff's Department has a mix of Mercury's, Chevrolets, and Crown Victorias.
Bids will go out to see who will give the county the best deal for the most cars.
The new cars will arrive sometime this spring.
