Pedestrians have a safer way to get around in one Wiregrass city.
The city of Daleville has finished its construction on two sidewalk paths in the city.
One, being in front of an elementary school where parents and kids have reported being forced to walk in the street to avoid ant beds and potholes.
The other path runs down 85 South toward City Hall.
Leaders and people in the community say these sidewalks enhance safety for pedestrians in the area.
The project cost almost $129,000.
Nearly 78 percent of that money came from grants.
