Houston County Sheriff Lamar Glover said 29-year-old Anthony Morris allegedly wrote bad checks to buy more than $15,000 worth of equipment from local businesses.
The sheriff said Morris then hocked the merchandise at pawn shops for cash.
The suspect is also wanted on a fugitive warrant out of Washington County, Florida.
Morris is being held without bond in the Houston County Jail.
