Daleville School Bus Upgrade

The Daleville City school system is replacing half its bus fleet before next school year.

Nine new busses are being purchased and replacing those that are 10 or more years old.

The cost for the upgrade will run more than $533,000.

Officials are hoping most of that money will come from state fleet renewal funds.

“We're very excited about it,” said Daleville Superintendent Andrew Kelley. “We're very proud of our transportation system especially our bus drivers for transporting our students to and from school everyday.”

School leaders say they will save thousands of dollars by buying the busses before emission upgrades are required for new busses.
