ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Orlando police say a 12-year-old boy was cut with his own knife after attempting to stab another student on a school bus.
Authorities say the Lee Middle School student pulled out the three-inch blade during a shoving match with a 14-year-old boy about 4:20 pm Thursday.
The 14 year old was struck in the back with the knife, but his thick jacket prevented the blade from making a deep cut.
Police say the 12-year-old boy was cut on the finger when other students on the bus wrestled the knife away from him.
The bus driver pulled over, took the knife and contacted police.
The 12 year old was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police say charges are expected.
Authorities say the feud started because the 12 year old was bullying the 14 year old's younger cousin.
