Florida Department of Transportation officials hope a newly installed traffic signal will reduce the number of tragic accidents at a dangerous intersection in the panhandle.
A four-way traffic light is located at the intersection of Highway 79 and State Road 20 in Ebro.
It's located just south of the greyhound dog track.
There have been several deaths and serious injuries over the years as people often speed down to Panama City beach.
The fully operational signal replaces a caution light that had been located there for many years.
