A dangerous Enterprise intersection will soon be safer.
Mayor Kenneth Boswell has received approval from the State Department of Transportation for a traffic signal at the intersection of State Highway 27 and Porter Lunsford Road.
The intersection has been the scene of several near fatal accidents in recent months.
Due to the rapid residential and business development taking place in that section of the city, a signal was considered.
“We’ve had some bad accidents, and some near misses. Our portion, the city's, will be over $98,000 dollars and the entire project at the intersection will be $196,500.94,"says Mayor Boswell.
The city along with the State Department of Transportation will spend more than $100,000 dollars to install and maintain the light.
