Some new faces could be coming to Auburn University's Board of Trustees this New Year.
Three people who couldn't get approved as trustees in 2003 appear headed for approval this year.
Gov. Bob Riley plans to convene the Auburn trustee selection panel on Jan. 8, and after talking to most of the panel members, he feels confident it will re-nominate Dwight Carlisle of Alexander City, Charles Ball of Gadsden, and Sarah Newton of Fayette.
They didn't become trustees in 2003 because the state Senate never considered their names. Approval by a majority of the Senate is necessary to become a trustee.
